Manage Chrome Extensions

Chrome Extensions are awesome! They make Google Chrome work better for you. Here are a few tips to help find, manage, and organize all those Chrome Extensions you have installed.

    • Device Resource Tip: The more Extensions you have installed, the more resources your device uses. They can be resource hogs! I encourage you to uninstall extensions you no longer use or at least disable ones you rarely use. Save all those device resources for the awesome work you do!

Pin Extensions:

Make it easy to access your commonly used Extensions.

  1. Click the Puzzle Piece icon at the top right corner of Chrome.

  1. Find the extension you want to be pinned to Chrome. Click the Push Pin icon.

  1. It is now visible at the top of Chrome.

Reorder Extensions:

Customize the order of your extensions.

  1. This is easy. Just click and hold on an extension and drag to its new location!

Disable/Enable Installed Extensions:

Not using an extension but want it “sometimes”? Don’t uninstall it, disable it!

  1. Click the Puzzle Piece icon at the top right corner of Chrome.

  1. At the bottom of the pop-up, you will see “Manage extensions”. Click on that.

  1. There will be a gray or blue switch.

    • Blue means that extension is enabled

    • Gray means that it is disabled

Switch on any extensions you want active and switch off any extension you are not currently using.
