Keyboard Shortcuts

Simple fact: keyboard shortcuts make life easier. Once shortcuts become a habit you will never go back. Here are a few of my day-to-day keyboard shortcuts:



  • Copy:  Ctrl + C

  • Paste:  Ctrl + P

  • Undo:  Ctrl + Z

  • Cut:  Ctrl + X

  • Reopen recently-closed Chrome tabs:  Ctrl + Shift + T

  • Refresh the page:  Ctrl + R

  • Open a web link in a new tab: Ctrl + Click Link

  • Search for a word/phrase on the current page:  Ctrl + F

  • Zoom in:  Ctrl and +

  • Zoom out:  Ctrl and  -

  • Zoom Reset:  Ctrl + 0


  • Take a screenshot: Press Ctrl + Show Windows

  • Take a partial screenshot: Press Shift + Ctrl + Show windows

  • Turn on/off caps lock:  Search + Alt 


  • Take a partial screenshot:  Windows logo key + Shift + S

  • Pull up the entire clipboard of recent things you copied:  Windows logo key + V
