I often use split view with documents so I can see data on one side, and enter it in another file. This works even better with multiple monitors. Chrome now has this built in. You can now see two tabs within a single tab. This makes it very easy to work on multiple files at once.
View 2 Tabs at Once:
Have the tabs open that you want to view side by side.
Right-click the tab name and click “Add tab to new split view”.
If you only have two tabs open, you will see them side by side. If you have more tabs available, you will need to choose the second tab to make visible.
You will now have two tabs to view and edit.
There are other options once you have these two tabs open. By clicking the “split view” icon on the top left, you will see:
Separate views: goes back to multiple tabs and no longer side by side
Close left view: closes the left tab
Close right view: closes the right tab
Reverse views: puts the left tab on the right side, and the right tab on the left side
To return to normal view, choose “Separate views” from the dropdown, and everything will be back to how you started.
