Boddle for Math & ELA

Boddle is a fun Math & ELA learning game. Teachers can assign standards for students to practice and earn rewards for correct answers. Students upgrade their “pets” and environments while content is reinforced. There are reports and other features that make this both fun and educational. Set up your teacher account, add your students from Google Classroom, and get your students Boddling!

Set up a teacher account:

  1. Head over to boddlelearning.com and create a teacher account. Sign in with Google so you can use Google Classroom and other tools.

Create a classroom:

  1. After signing in you will be prompted to create a classroom. You will create a name, choose Math or ELA (I suggest both), set a grade level, and choose the standards to associate with your classroom (Common Core).

Add students:

  1. Click on “Students” on the left side.

  1. Click “Add Students” then select the left-side image for “Add New Students”.

  1. Click on “Import Students”.

  1. Choose the classroom to import from. Then choose the “Select All” option to import all students from, that classroom.

  1. You can leave all students at the assigned grade level or customize individuals to differing levels. Then click “Continue”.

  1. Student sign-in cards will be created. These can be passed out so students have a QR code and sign-in credentials.

Create an assignment:

  1. Click on “Assignments” on the left side.

  1. Click “Create Assignment” and fill in the required information on the next screen.

    • Assignment Name: default is date but you can name it

    • Skill: Assign desired Common Core Standards.

    • Students: Choose who receives the assignment.

    • Parameters: Choose whether questions are random (prevents sharing of answers with others) and set the number of questions per stanrd to be asked.

    • Scheduling: When the assignment is viewable to students

Pass out the created log-in cards and let the students explore!
